The 1894 painting “The Bazaar in Samarkand” – was sold in April 2006 – New York Christie auction of 1 million 136 thousand dollars, neither the buyer nor the seller is not known.

George (Gigo) Ivanovich Gabashvili (born 9 October / November 21, 1862, Tbilisi – c., October 28, 1936, Tsihisdziri, Kobuleti District, Adjara) – Georgian painter, People’s Artist of Georgia (1929), one of the new Georgian realistic painting – one of the founders.

  1. The next time I read a blog, Hopefully it doesn’t fail me just as much as this one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read, nonetheless I actually believed you would have something interesting to talk about.
