Fauvism

A small description

Les Fauves (French for The Wild Beasts) were a short-lived and loose grouping of early 20th century Modern artists whose works emphasized painterly qualities and strong colour over the representational values retained by Impressionism. While Fauvism as a style began around 1900 and continued beyond 1910, the movement as such lasted only three years, 1905–1907, and had three exhibitions.

There were many wonderful painters of this style, including Maurice de Vlaminck, Matisse and others.

Maurice de Vlaminck is a good example of Fauvism

  1. Howdy! I understand this is sort of off-topic however I needed
to ask. Does building a well-established website like yours take a massive
amount work? I am brand new to blogging however I do write in my diary every day.
I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share
my experience and feelings online. Please let me know
if you have any kind of recommendations or tips
for brand new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!
